Dimock Service Days: A Great Way to Give Back
When you give up your time to help others, it can make a big impact. People who choose to offer their commitment and energy to The Dimock Center through our Service Day program are helping to transform lives.
The Dimock Center has been a vital presence in the community for over 150 years. Perched atop a nine-acre campus of historic, Victorian-styled buildings that house multiple services; The Dimock Center is unique in its relationship to our community. With over 100,000 people a year traveling through and using this historic campus, there is expected wear and tear, and there are always places where extra hands and help are required.
That’s where you come in. Each year, we welcome groups who want to give back to the community by completing service projects around our campus. Recently, we had groups participate in landscaping and painting projects. TJX visited our campus to help paint our Child and Family Services learning center in May and the Sheraton Boston Hotel was here planting flowers in June to kickoff the Summer season.
Other groups scheduled to help out around campus this year, include the Red Sox Foundation with National Grid, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Tufts Health Network and Boston Cares.
